No, she has faults, and fears, and is human to the core, yet she NEVER gives up. Dace just wants her space ship, a nice little shipping contract, and the safety of her close friends/crew. Even when chased half way across the galaxy, and betrayed by those she once trusted, Dace never quits.And boy does she ever get it in this book. Not only that, but problems from the past rear up to bite her in the worst ways. Debilitating phobias, PTSD, and enemies from her past all try to do her in. But the universe's human embodiment of chaos shouldn't be crossed. You hurt her friends, well, you brought it all down on yourself.
Even so, when Dace unleashes her own brand of hell on her foes, she doesn't escape unscathed either. No, choices have consequences, and even she must face them.

I've read and reread this particular installment of the Altairan Empire series so many times. There's a lot of fantastic character development for Dace, Tayvis, Lowell, Paltronis, and other side characters.
Dace has made some enemies and they want revenge. Another rollicking adventure with Dace. Still the same non-stop rollercoaster ride for our characters. This book hints at the long story arc Jaleta is developing in this series. I like that she still manages to tell a complete story while leaving us breathless for the next book. There were a couple of spots where the violence got a tiny bit repetitive but I still wanted to immediately read the next book.
